Near the town of Veli Rat, not far from the Zmaj apartments, is one of the most famous sandy beaches in Zadar County - Sakarun. Sakarun is often mentioned as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world, it is precisely the fine white sand and turquoise color that gives it a high place in such rankings. At each end of the bay there is a coffee bar with refreshing drinks and fast food, and you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds.
